FAQ

Here are some of the most frequent questions we receive.

  • You guys are still around?
We never left. Stop by our clubhouse on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00pm and check us out. More info on our Membership page.
  • How long are your rides?
Our short rides are typically around 70 to 100 miles, about 3 hours to full day and weekend rides.
  • Do we ride or go from bar to bar?
We ride! Nearly all of our rides include food, whether we stop along the route or have a cookout after the ride. If we stop, it is seldom at a fast food joint.
  • Are you a social club or riding club?
A riding club that is social, as stated in the answer above. We ride, but we do have social functions as well.
  • Do you have to be an AMA member to join BRMC?
No, but we recommend it, and you do need to be an AMA member to hold an elected position.
  • Is the club co-ed?
Absolutely! We welcome everyone no matter sex, race or creed. You do need to be at least 21 years of age to be a member, but children may attend family events.
  • Can my spouse or significant other join if they are a passenger?
Absolutely, they are always welcome on rides including member only rides. They are also welcome to join BRMC as a regular member.
  • Are you a “3 piece patch” club?
No we are a neutral club, although our patch is three pieces.
  • When do you meet?
We meet the 1st and the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm
  • Do you have to prospect?
Not exactly, but we do require a new member probationary period which will last for no less than 1 calendar year. During this probationary period we do ask that our new members actively participate in meetings, rides and social events. A minimum of 6 qualifying events is required. New members that ride and own a motorcycle are encouraged to lead at least one ride and/or volunteer for the clubhouse maintenance committee.  After 1 year, the BRMC Executive Board will vote to consider making you a “full patched member” or vote to extend your probationary period.  Full club membership is a privilege and should be treated so by all parties involve.
  • Are new members distinguished by the patch?
Yes, the first 3 months after paying dues, a new member attends meetings, joins rides and gets to know the club and its members. If the new member participates, he/she will receive the top and bottom rockers.
  • What type of bikes/riders do you have?
We welcome all bikes and riders! Please remember that we ride and usually go about 100 miles between stops, so please be prepared to do this type of riding.
  • Are new riders welcome?
Absolutely! Please stop by during one of our rides and or meetings the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.
